Your Role

The Surveillance business area offers effective solutions for monitoring and decision support, as well as systems to detect and protect against various types of threats. The product portfolio includes airborne, land-based, and maritime radar systems, signal intelligence and self-protection systems, command systems, and systems for maritime and air traffic management.

We are now looking for experienced technical project managers who want to drive both delivery and product projects. The role suits you who want to combine technical responsibility with leadership and who thrives close to the solution. With us, you will play a key role in leading the integration and overall delivery of complex system deliveries of some of the world's leading systems in our field.

As a technical project manager, you have overall responsibility for ensuring that the project meets technical requirements within budget and delivers according to plan. The role involves leading and coordinating the technical activities in the projects - both internally within our teams and externally towards the customer.

Being a technical project manager also means:

• Leading and ensuring progress regarding the technical work within the projects
• Being responsible for customer and supplier contact for technical aspects
• Supporting the project manager with documentation during customer contacts
• Monitoring project activities and ensuring the project's commitments and progress through active leadership
• Coordinating and defining internal technical functions, including defining the scope of the project, timeline, budget, and resource needs
• Having the ability to conduct system analyses of prospects from the Win Business phase, having sufficient technical understanding to create documentation for cost calculations, and also drive/lead design activities

The location for the position is in Arboga or Stockholm.

Your Profile

You are a person with solid experience in technical project management. You have an engineering degree, preferably at the master's level, and several years of experience in systems work. We believe that you are currently working as a systems engineer, lead engineer, architect, or in a similar role in complex projects, where you have had explicit responsibility for technical direction, coordination, and overall delivery.

You have a good ability to find effective solutions and easily navigate the organization and communicate with our internal suppliers to solve and prevent problems and challenges. The position also includes a lot of communication with external customers, which requires good business acumen, as well as good knowledge of both Swedish and English in writing and speaking.

Knowledge and work experience supported by the International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) is advantageous. Experience working in the defense industry is also a plus.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, involve requirements for certain citizenship.
